Greetings internet slaves! OK, well, not really slaves, but you get the point…

So for the past 8 months or so I’ve been attending a small college and career group at the local church down the street from where I live. It’s been a pretty solid group (well, that is until the 19 year old army took over) and Laure from www.axiomdesignworks.com and myself have decided to get involved and build their website for them so they can finally move into what I like to call, 00 century.

Well, it’s been a week since I’ve launched the new, and ever so improved Joelika.com, so I felt as if it was time to write a new post for you utter enjoyment. Over the past 6 years I’ve been creating Joelika.com, I have always made it a point to not update about my personal life. Oh sure, I would rant quite often, but it’s not like I would tell you about my freakishly long mutant toe or anything (and if I did, well, I would do it in a completely humorous manor). But I am going to break that rule a little today and write a little bit about me since I pretty much dropped off the face of the earth over the past 9 months.

That’s right my friends! Welcome to the new (and not really approved) Joelika.com. Hopefully everything is working pretty well, since I didn’t really get a chance to test this before making it live (come on, you know I totally busted this out of my butt this weekend!). I did check it in Safari, FireFox, and Camino, so if you have one of those browsers, javascript turned on, and at least Flash 7 installed, you should be golden. If you are using IE 6, well, I can’t say for sure how it will look. I did put it a lot of hacks so hopefully it degrades well, but like I said, I have no clue. I’ll check it out tomorrow when I’m at work to see how I did.

For those of you who check the RSS feed (because it is the shiz-nite!), the Joelika.com “No, I’m Not Dead” Edition will be launching worldwide October 1st, 2006. What will it be all about? Well, many new changes are in store, but for now, check out the new splash page at www.joelika.com if you are man (or woman) enough. No seriously, I dare you…

Greeting’s from The District my tiny internet midgets! The District Of Columbia that is (Oooo, don’t I just sound like a native… or someone who has watched that TV Drama, The District, on CBS). That’s right, I’m broadcasting here from my hotel suite as I chillax from a long day at the Government Video Expo.

I’m actually representing the place I work as a local reseller for NewTek, so I’ve been in NewTek’s booth all day, which actually has been a lot of fun. I honestly don’t know all that much about their products, other than just using the Tricaster in a couple of remotes that I TD’ed, but I’ve been pulling BS out of my butt like I constantly do anyway, so I really feel right at home. Looks like my college degree is paying off! Score!
